Southern FM celebrates World Radio Day – 13 February 2019
Today is World Radio Day!
This year’s theme is Dialogue, Tolerance and Peace.
UNESCO’s World Radio Day marks a time where people around the world celebrate radio and how it shapes our lives.
Radio brings together people and communities from all backgrounds to foster positive dialogue for change.
This is particularly true of community radio services, which provide a diverse range of viewpoints that enrich the social and cultural fabric of Australian society, promote the identities of local communities, contribute to social inclusion and provide opportunities for diverse participation in free-to-air public broadcasting and content production.
88.3 Southern FM is proud to be part of our community, bringing you a diverse range of spoken word and music programs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
