Talking MS (multiple sclerosis), barking magpies, and more – South of the River with Alli Harding podcast Sunday 21 April
MS ambassador Sam Bidey joined Alli Harding on Sunday 21 April to discuss his journey with the condition, and the importance of fundraising for more research – and ultimately, a cure.
Sam, a media officer with Victoria Police, was diagnosed with MS when he was 29 and had not long moved in with his now-wife Christine. Now 32, Sam and his family and friends are dedicated fundraisers and are next month taking part in the TheMay50k.
Sam encouraged Southern FM listeners to visit the website to learn more about MS, which is the most common acquired chronic neurological disease affecting young adults, and support the event. You can support Sam directly by searching for his name, or simply click on the donate tab.
Alli also shared the happy story of Molly the magpie and Peggy the staffy – the unlikely duo who have been reunited after six weeks’ apart. Listen to the podcast to hear how Molly learned to bark just like Peggy.
