South of the River with Alli Harding: 5 March 2023 podcast
We were dancing in the studio to the tunes of Celtic band members Bernadette and Anthony O’Neill on Sunday 5 March 2023. Their band, Saoirse, is a vibrant musical group that brings their ballads and traditional songs to festivals and venues around Australia and overseas. Among other upcoming performances, they’re off to Hepburn Springs for a St Patrick’s Day gig and then performing at Hampton Bowling Club on 2 April. We also discovered that Bernadette has had a hair salon in Highett for nearly 40 years – and even sings to her clients on demand! More info: saoirse.com.au
Alli Harding also chatted with Dr Sophie McGilvray, from Bayside Pain Management. Sophie says a lot can be done for chronic pain, and urges people to visit their GPs for a discussion. More info: baysidepain.com.au
And it’s International Women’s Day on Wednesday 8 March, so we heard some great tracks from strong women, from Kylie Minogue and Helen Reddy to Shania Twain and Linda Ronstadt.
