Tony Currenti (session drummer for ACDC and Stevie Wright) on Purple Haze
On this Podcast – Tony Currenti talks about his 10 year career as drummer for some of Australia’s and the worlds biggest rock bands. Starting out in bands Inheritance, Grapevine, The 69ers, Winter and Jackie Christian and Flight he went on to be the drummer of choice of Vanda and Young on the debut ACDC album ‘High Voltage and played on all but 1 track including the later single of ‘High Voltage’. He was also the drummer on all but 2 tracks on the classic Stevie Wright (The Easybeats) album ‘The Black Eyed Bruiser’. Add into the mix 2 huge hits for John Paul Young (Yesterdays Heroes and I Hate The Music), the top 10 single for Ray Burgess ‘Love Fever’ (with the band Flight) and he played on Stevie Wrights mega-hit Evie Part 3.
