Peter Farnan (Boom Crash Opera) LIVE in studio Wednesday night 8pm (AET) presenting his new project ‘Pesky Bones’
Join Mark Naumann on Purple Haze Wednesday night 7/9/16 at 8pm (AET) when Peter Farnan drops in to play his new album project ‘Pesky Bones’ for the first time – a world exclusive for Purple Haze. Pesky Bones is a recording project where guest vocalists sing songs written, performed and recorded by Peter. His guests include Paul Kelly, Deborah Conway, Tim Rogers, Sarah Ward, Paul Capsis and others. 12 songs, 12 singers.
Pesky Bones is like a personal music player on shuffle. Rather than one sound and point of view there are diverse musical styles and singers. The themes cover accumulated experience, memory, age, sex, family, mortality, aching limbs, regret, transcendence and raging against the dying light. Peter describes the aesthetic as ‘art pop-rock’; probing and restless but aiming to be accessible rather than confounding. We just might throw in a little Boom Crash Opera for good measure as well.
