Taking politics out of the youth crime debate

James Newbury and Colin Tyrus

This issue of crimes committed by young people leads this podcast featuring the Liberal MP for Brighton James Newbury. He also talks to Southern FM newsman Colin Tyrus about his party’s approach to addressing the housing crisis. On a lighter note, James is keen to steer clear of the debate about the various ways to pronounce the name of the suburb that is also the name of his electorate.

James Newbury is a Shadow Cabinet Minister responsible for the Planning, Environment, Climate Change and Equality portfolios, in addition to being the Manager of Opposition Business. That final role is responsible for co-ordinating the Coalition in Victoria’s lower house.
