Snorkellers save shark
The problem of plastic pollution in Port Phillip Bay was highlighted this week on A Newsman and his Music. Colin spoke to snorkelling enthusiast Madeleine Heath who helped to save the life of a Port Jackson shark that had plastic stuck in its gills. Madeleine and her sister Clementine came across the shark during one of their regular snorkelling dives at Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary. Clementine used her underwater camera to capture some shots of Madeleine with her new friend “sharky”.
