Bonegilla – The Migrants Journey

Southern FM newsman Colin Tyrus had a personal connection with a story on his program on Monday 4 December 2023. His father Wladyslaw was one of thousands of post-war migrants who took the train from Melbourne’s Station Pier to Bonegilla Migrant Camp, near Albury-Wodonga. In this podcast, Colin is chatting with Simon Reich who created Bonegilla – The Migrants Journey. It’s a multi-media and live music event tracing the tragic, gutsy and yet ultimately inspiring journey of European post-war migrants to Australia.
