What’s on ‘Built For Speed’ Friday 9th October 2015
This Friday on ‘Built For Speed’ we take a look at film that will have music fans salivating. The Wrecking Crew documents the phenomenal contributions of the legendary group of session musos who were behind so many classic pop hits of the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s. We’ll also here some of the fine music to which they contributed including the Ronettes and The Beach Boys. We also take a look at the latest cinema adaptation of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Will Snowtown director Justin Kurzel’s take on the Bard’s bloodiest play stack up against great versions of the past such as Roman Polanski’s lauded 1971 adaptation. There’s also plenty of fine new music with tracks from Royal Headache, Best Coast and The Grates. Don’t forget our regular preview of TV and gigs for the week. Check out ‘Built For Speed’, Friday 8-10pm on 88.3 Southern FM.
