What’s on ‘Built For Speed’ Friday 17th July 2015

On July 13th 1985 the world’s TV screens were tuned to one of the biggest events in music history, Live Aid.  Created by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, this massive concert which included all-star gigs in Britain and the US as well as Australia’s Oz for Africa contribution provided millions in famine relief for the people of Ethiopia.  This week on ‘Built For Speed’ we celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Live Aid as we play some of the tracks performed by legends such as Led Zeppelin, The Pretenders, Queen and U2, avoid the 80’s horror bands and reminisce about this era-defining event.  Check out ‘Built For Speed’, Friday 8-10pm on 88.3 Southern FM.
