What’s on Built For Speed, Friday 10th August 2012
This week on Built for Speed we venture back into the eerie mists of time to a period when dinosaurs or at least creatures with mullets, perms and flouro clothes ruled the earth, the 1980’s. In true Built for Speed tradition, though, there’ll be none of the horrible mainstream drivel that polluted commercial radio airwaves during that disturbing decade but a selection of alternative favourites including the Pixies, the Stone Roses, The Smiths and The Replacements. We’ll also look at a film infused with 80’s Wall Street greed, Cosmopolis and we’ll have an overview of current art house screenings. Don’t forget our usual preview of gigs and TV for the week.
