Radio Ga Ga Revisits Fable Records

 

Saturday morning from 10am Radio Ga Ga pays homage to Australian institution Fable Records. Founded by Australian music industry legend Ron Tudor, the independent label produced a plethora of hits through the 70’s and won just about every Oz music award category that was available. Remember all of the VFL team songs of the 70’s along with specialty hits such as “Up There Cazaly” and The Mixtures “Pushbike Song”? Do you remember Collingwood’s Peter McKenna and his singing career? Well there was plenty more, many of which will bring the memories flooding back like diluted treacle. Brian Cadd, Bill & Boyd, Liv Maessen, Johnny Chester, Ross.D.Wylie, John Williamson and Bobby & Laurie were just a few big names in The Fable Stable. Who else will feature in this Saturday mornings special tribute?
