A Novel Radio Ga Ga this Saturday
Radio Ga Ga is a program which features a different theme each week. Last week we played and discussed the opening track off 22 classic Australian albums. This week we go in search of the novelty track. Yes, those comedic and ‘different’ songs that actually cracked the charts. For those from the 60’s think artists such as Allen Sherman, Rolf Harris or Brian Hyland, if the 70’s is your era, maybe Loudon Wainwright III, Frank Zappa or Rick Dees And His Cast Of Idiots will ring a bell, the 80’s saw the emergence of Weird Al Yankovic and Black Lace and the 90’s bought us Aqua, The Offspring and Right Said Fred whilst the last decade has produced LMFAO, Wheetus and The Androids.
